4 1/2 days and 1,534 miles for me. Had a great time on the Ft Davis Ride. Thanks to all that made the ride and of course David Adams for planning it. Good times with the LSR gang!

The Lone Star Riders take a trip to southwest Texas to visit Ft Davis and the Big Bend area. We will visit sites like the Davis Mt Loop, McDonald Observatory, Marfa, Presidio, FM 170 (the river road), Lajitas, the ghost town of Terlingua, and of course Big Bend National Park.

Made it home after about 525 miles, all but 20 with a plugged rear tire. Got me home with no loss of air. Nice!
It has been a great time with our LSR friends. Tonight is the final night as we head home in the morning. It will be cool heading out but should be a fine day to ride about 550 miles.
Great ride with my great friends.
I will post a complete photo album sometime soon.

Randy and I took an afternoon ride up to the observatory just to get some fun riding in today. Great 34 mile up and back and we got to see the snow.
We thought of taking it easy and just riding the Davis Mountain Loop today but this guy told us there is 7-8" of snow at the observatory. Interesting day!
We get up this morning to snow. I did not see that coming. It looks like it will not warm up much today (high 51) but the snow and rain should stop soon. I am very happy that some of us hour a nice ride in yesterday. We will find something good to do I am sure...maybe just another loop around the Davis Mountains going the other direction. Might have to skip the observatory if it gets too cold and windy at altitude.
Another great riding day. We are in Ft Davis meeting up with the rest of our group. Fun times ahead. Now a cold Tejas Lager from the Big Bend Brewing Company.
I am getting a little excited about heading to Brady today for the start of the first multi-day ride of the year. A great start to what will be a great riding season.
